Every LitLab decodable is available as a printable PDF, with five different formats. Print for your phonics center, send a copy home for family practice, or build a take-home decodable folder for the year.

Available Formats

Full-page format

One illustration and one or two paragraphs per page. Best for whole-group reading on the document camera or for emerging readers who need large text.

Booklet format

Folded 8.5×11 booklet. Print double-sided, fold once, and you have a take-home decodable students can keep.

Mini-book format

Quarter-page booklet — eight pages on a single 8.5×11 sheet. Cut, staple, and stash in students’ book boxes.

Black-and-white

Toner-friendly version of any format for high-volume classroom printing.

Send Home with Families

Printable take-home decodables strengthen the home–school connection. Pair every assigned story with a family-friendly note explaining the phonics skill.
Build a “Friday Folder” routine: send home that week’s decodable on Fridays so families can read together over the weekend.

Comprehension Questions & Fill in the Blanks

All Grab-and-Go decodables include a comprehension question and fill-in-the-blank printable to go alongside the text as extension activities. Scroll down, past the story, to find these printables.
