Clever offers two distinct types of integration. The option that is active for your district determines what your teachers and students experience. Once your connection is set up, import your classes on LitLab.Library (most common)
Library (most common)
An individual teacher connects to LitLab from their own Clever Library — no district authorization needed, other than global Clever Library permissions enabled. This is how most of our Clever districts roster today: it brings in that teacher’s classes, sections, and students, without any district IT setup.Find LitLab in the Clever library here: https://clever.com/library/app/litlabai
Secure Sync
Secure Sync
A deeper, district-level integration that your IT team adds from Clever’s app store. Secure Sync is available for an additional cost. Once enabled, LitLab can read your entire district’s rosters directly. Reach out to the LitLab team at ops@litlab.ai if you’re interested.

ClassLink
Signing in
Teachers and students sign in with ClassLink through their district’s ClassLink portal, or with a “Sign in with ClassLink” option on the LitLab sign-in page.Rostering
ClassLink rostering requires a one-time setup between your district’s IT team and LitLab:- Your district adds LitLab as an app in the ClassLink Admin Console.
- Your district configures and enables a Roster Server connection for LitLab.
- Your LitLab account team completes the connection on our side.
- Once complete, teachers can sync their classes using the Sync with ClassLink button on their dashboard.
Teachers can sign in with ClassLink before this setup is complete, but they won’t be able to sync their classes or students until the RosterServer authorization is complete.
