The Library has three sections beyond the Grab-and-Go gallery: Community library, My content, and Students’ creations. All three work the same way as Grab-and-Go once you’re on a story page — you can preview, assign, and print any story the same way, regardless of which tab it came from.

Community library

Any story you or another teacher has generated can be shared to the Community library for other LitLab teachers to discover and use.
  • Sharing a story: Open a story you own and switch its visibility from Private to Community Library in the story toolbar. Your story is automatically screened by our AI evaluators, and in most cases appears in the Community Library right away.
  • Unsharing: Switch visibility back to Private at any time — this doesn’t delete the story; it just removes it from the Community Library.
  • Liking: Teachers can like stories in the Community Library; the tab sorts by like count first, then decodability score.

Community library doesn’t have a lesson/skill filter — you can filter by phonics program, decodability, and story length, but not by specific lesson. This is intentional, so a published story stays visible regardless of which skill it’s tagged to.

My content

My content shows every story you’ve generated or remixed yourself — both finished stories and remixes you still have in progress. You can filter My content by phonics program and by lesson/skill, but not by decodability or story length.
A story you’ve published to the Community Library shows a “Published” badge on its card in My content, so you can keep track of what you’ve shared.

Students’ creations

Students’ creations shows stories generated by the students currently on your class roster. Students use the Student Creator, which is a different experience from the teacher generator you use. This tab has no filters — you’ll see all of your students’ stories together, regardless of program or skill.
Want to feature a student’s story in Community library? You (the teacher) can remix a student’s story to make your own editable copy, then publish that remix — students can’t publish directly to Community Library themselves.

Assigning and printing

Once you’re on any story’s page, everything works the same regardless of which tab you found it in — assign it to your class, or print it in the formats available for that story.
