Before you set up your class on LitLab, take a minute to make sure you’re using the right login method for your school. This quick step helps avoid duplicate accounts or missing student connections later on.
LitLab offers several ways to log in. Choose the one that matches how your school or district connects students:
| Login Method | Who Should Use It | What It Does |
|---|---|---|
| Clever | Schools using Clever SSO with Clever Library access | Teachers and students log in with their Clever credentials. Teachers can roster classes only if their school or district enables access to the Clever Library. *(*📘 Learn more: Clever Setup Guide). |
| ClassLink | Schools using ClassLink LaunchPad | Teachers and students log in via ClassLink. Roster access must be approved by your IT admin before teachers can sync their classes. (📘 Learn more: ClassLink Setup Guide) |
| Google Sign-In | Independent teachers, schools, or tutors | Simple login using Google credentials. You’ll manually add students to your class. |
| Homeschool or users without SSO | Enter your email → we’ll send a secure one-time “magic link” to log in (no password). Students are added manually. 🪄 If the email doesn’t arrive or expires, see Login Troubleshooting |
If your district uses Clever or ClassLink, always log in that way. Mixing login methods (for example, signing in once with Google and later with Clever) can create duplicate accounts or disconnect your students from your class.
